Absolute Data Integrity > Feature Bloat.
The core hypothesis behind AxiomOS was simple but contrarian: gym owners don't need a million bloated features; they need a tamper-proof system. I bet that prioritizing an append-only architecture and unbreakable auditability would solve the biggest silent killer in gym management: staff errors and fraud.
Financial Leakage & Owner Paranoia.
For independent gym owners, the front desk is a massive vulnerability. Without a reliable, immutable audit trail, staff can easily alter prices, delete cash sales, or give away free sessions to friends. This leads to untraceable revenue loss, unresolvable customer disputes, and a complete breakdown of trust. The stakes were high: if the system couldn't guarantee data integrity, the owner could never confidently step away from the business.
Belt-and-Suspenders Architecture.
We engineered a system that balanced lightning-fast UX for the staff with military-grade accounting for the owner. From Postgres-level triggers to custom PIN-switch authentication, every interaction was built to guarantee that every single action—down to a changed setting or a recorded cash sale—is perfectly attributed.
Append-Only Postgres Constraints
Strict append-only constraints implemented at both the application layer and via Postgres DB triggers. Historical records, pricing adjustments, and member purchases can never be altered or deleted.
POS Unit-Price Locking at Purchase
To guarantee historical revenue audit accuracy, the POS engine captures and locks the exact unitPriceAtPurchase at the moment of checkout. Global pricing adjustments never distort past accounting.
Owner Session + Fast PIN Staff Switching
Custom dual auth: gym owners maintain persistent admin sessions while staff authenticate via rapid PIN switches on the shared terminal. A central getActingUser() guarantees complete action attribution.
Automated Discrepancy & Fraud Detection
Instead of burying owners in complex financial spreadsheets, the UI actively surfaces critical anomalies — like price overrides, unauthorized discounts, or low stock — directly on the main HUD.

The final product is a rock-solid, auditable platform that eliminates revenue leakage. Gym owners finally have total peace of mind, knowing the system simply won't allow untraceable actions.
